Yesterday marked Auguste Rodin’s birthday in 1840. Also, the year 2017 will mark 100 years since the French sculptor’s death. According to the Legion of Honor’s website, they will be holding a celebration of the sculptor dubbed “Rodin Centenary” which will start on January 28, 2017 up until the end of the year. The exhibition will feature around 50 pieces from the LoH’s permanent collection.
“In honor of this centenary, we’ll be celebrating with a special year-long program of rotations, programs and artist interventions. Watch this space for more information!” says the Legion of Honor via Facebook.
