According to KQED, The Cartoon Art Museum signed a 10-year lease for their new home in San Francisco. The CAM’s new home is one block away from Ghiradelli Square in a beautiful, historic red brick building. “Museum staff hope to open its doors to the public by spring of next year.” says Kevin L. Jones of KQED.

With about 7,000 pieces in the personal collection, I cannot wait to visit this new location. As an avid comic book collector, it is awesome to know this is a short car ride away. Their treasured art works was locked in storage until they could find a new venue to showcase work. I am glad that they will be displaying their Jack Kirby pieces.

Anyone who is interested in art, cartoons, comics, etc. should check this out.
